GridCue only uses facts you provide. Missing requirements remain unknown.
A constrained bridge between GridCue and your LMU installation. It never guesses paths or launches the simulator by itself.
The current companion is an unsigned development foundation. There is no public download yet; these steps explain the intended and locally testable workflow.
Use a signed GridCue Companion release when one becomes available. Windows may request Private network permission; Public network exposure is intentionally unsupported.
The companion checks conventional Steam locations or a path you explicitly choose. A valid root must contain UserData. Registry scanning and internet discovery are not used.
Select an existing folder inside the recognized LMU root. GridCue never assumes one universal setup folder and will not create or write outside the location you approve.
Open the companion’s short pairing window, scan its fresh QR code in GridCue, compare the identity details, and approve. Pairing is local, expires quickly, and is tied to device keys.
Only .svm files up to 2 MiB are accepted. The companion validates name, length, and SHA-256, stages atomically, and refuses to overwrite an existing file.
An explicit launch validates Le Mans Ultimate.exe beneath your selected root. No background command, arbitrary path, URL, or launch argument is accepted.
